Verdon F. Tritapoe

1937-2007

Verdon Francis Tritapoe, 70, of Clear Spring, Md., died Monday, May 21, 2007, at the NMS Health Center (formerly Avalon Manor) in Hagerstown.

Born April 24, 1937, in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late Samuel William Tritapoe and Flossie Elizabeth Youngblood Tritapoe.

He wa a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a mechanic for many years in the local area.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Ellen Wright Tritapoe, Clear Spring; one son, Samuel William Tritapoe, Clear Spring; two grandchildren, Samuel William Tritapoe III, Hagerstown, Md.; and Ashley Nichole Tritapoe, Clear Spring.

He was preceded in death by one son, David Verdon Tritapoe, in 1987, and one sister, Marylin E. Emmerick.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. Rev. David Sword will officiate.
