Pearl M. Puffinberger

1943-2007

Pearl M. Puffinberger, 63, of Wardensville, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.

She was born on November 17, 1943 in Paw Paw, a daughter of late Virgil B. and Zenith Funkhouser Hook.

She worked in the laundry department for the Winchester Memorial Hospital and National Fruit Products both in Winchester, Va.

She was a member of the Woodrow Union Church near Paw Paw.

She was married to Virgil J. Puffinberger who died September 9, 1999.

Surviving are four daughters: Peggy S. McKee, Gore, Va; Judy A. Hockman, Wardensville; Linda G. Holliday, Bloomery and Bonnie J. Landis, Cross Junction, Va.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two brothers: Leo Hook and Jay Hook; one sister, Maxine Creek; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Cross Junction on Sunday, May 13. Officiating was Rev. Bobby Bashem. Interment was in church cemetery.
