Doyle L. Reed

1936-2007

Doyle Lee Reed, 71, of Big Pool, Md, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Homewood Nursing Home in Williamsport, Md.

Born April 10, 1936 in Pecktonville, Md, he was the son of the late William Andrew Reed and Olive Younker Reed.

He retired in 2001 from Martin Marietta Company. He attended Clear Spring High School and was a member of the Berkeley Springs Moose Lodge and the North American Hunt Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Debra Myers Reed, Big Pool; three sisters; Ruby Mills, Williamsport, Edna Shives, Big Pool and Ruth Poe, Marion, Ind.; one brother; Ronnie Reed, Big Pool and neices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; Lena Bailey and Opal Nave and two brothers; Max W. Reed and Willie Reed.

Graveside services were held Friday, April 20 at the Parkhead Cemetery in Big Pool. Rev. Reggie Rice officiated.

Arrangements were handled by the Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral home, Inc. Clear Spring.
