You've probably seen mentions in the paper that this spring's Health Olympics is under way. It's that time when many people in the Morgan County-Hancock area are trying to shape up after the winter of inactivity and fattening up.

As part of this year's events, Dr. Matt Hahn has organized a "Walk with the Doctor" each Thursday evening in April and May, alternating between Berkeley Springs and the Hancock Rail Trail. The first couple walks — with Morgan County Commissioner Brenda Hutchinson and Hancock's anti-smoking group as guest hosts – were on pretty wintry evenings.

Let's hope for kinder weather this Thursday, April 19, when your editor is guest host. Come, walk and talk with us at the track at Widmyer Elementary School in Berkeley Springs. It starts at 5:30 p.m.
