Henry O. Zimmerman

1923-2007

Henry Oliver Zimmerman, 83, of Hancock, Md. died April 8, 2007 at his home under the care of Hospice.

He was born in Morgan County, October 18, 1923, son of the late Levin Oliver Zimmerman and Emma Farris Zimmerman.

He was a retired letter carrier for the Hancock Post Office.

He was a member of Hancock American Legion Post #26, Berkeley Springs Moose Lodge #1483 and was a World War II Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Eleanor Virginia Palmer Zimmerman, Hancock; five daughters, Dee Ann Spade, Needmore, Pa., Teri Wilbourne, Great Cacapon, W.Va., Meri Wydysh, Falling Waters, W.Va., Donna Hart, Tucson, Ariz., and Angie Scott, Milford Del; one son, Bryan Zimmerman, Mercersburg, Pa.; one brother, Paul Zimmerman, Berkeley Springs, 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his son Henry Zimmerman Jr.

Services are today, Wednesday, April 11, 10:30 a.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 36 South Green Street, Berkeley Springs, with Rev. Allan Weatherholt officiating. Burial at Great Cacapon Cemetery with graveside military services by the Tri-State Honor Guard.
