The Town of Bath Historic Landmark Commission re-cently welcomed Jean Helsley to the commission.

The commission is completeing a final review of over 150 properties involved in the historic survey of the Town of Bath, which was conducted by Taylor and Taylor Association and funded by the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office.

The Town of Bath's Historic survey was delayed for comment for two weeks at the Town of Bath's Municipal Center. Margie Allyger and Robin Michael helped prepare and oversee the survey.

Possible future plans were discussed for publishing a portion of the survey and suggestions were made to work with the schools on historic projects.

The commission hopes to display the historical survey in the museum of Berkeley Springs and the Morgan County Library. These efforts will help to educate the citizens about Town of Bath history.

The agenda also included a brief outline of the scope of work associated with a recently awarded a $6,000 grant in support of a nomination as a historic district within the Town of Bath.
