Donald R. Mullen Sr.,

1921-2007

Donald Ray "Bo" Mullen Sr., 85, of Clear Spring, Md., died Friday, March 30, 2007 at home.

Born June 27, 1921, in Clear Spring, he was the son of the late Edward Dewey Mullen and Nellie Jane Cunningham Mullen.

He was a member of the Church of God of Lanes Run, where he served as an elder and he was a contributing factor to the building of the church.

He retired in 1983 from Fairchild Aircraft after 41 years of service.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Saipan.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Grace Viola Wiley Mullen of Clear Spring; three daughters, Patricia Everett and Paulette Seibert, both of Clear Spring, and Beverly Divelbiss, Hagerstown, Md.; three sons, Donald Mullen Jr., Mercersburg, Pa., Wayne Mullen, Martinsburg, W.Va., and James Mullen of Berkeley Springs; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Richard Mullen.

Services were Tuesday, April 3, at the Church of God of Lanes Run. Pastor Louie Charlebois and Pastor Carl Harper officiated. Burial with military honors was in Blairs Valley Cemetery.

The Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Clear Spring handled the arrangements.
