Moretta M. Lineweaver
1927-2007
Moretta Mae Lineweaver, 79, of Berkeley Springs, died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born June 7, 1927 in Oldtown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Mary Elizabeth Athey Carder.
She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she had served as a Sunday school teacher. She was a graduate of Oldtown High School and was a homemaker.
She is survived by four daughters, Suzanne Smith, Delmont, Pa., Elaine M. Lincoln and Brenda K. Mason, both of Berkeley Springs and Carol "Boo" Fortini, Simpsonville, S.C.; one son, Steve A. Lineweaver, Berkeley Springs; three sisters, Ruth Anderson and Patricia Norton, both of Cumberland, Md. and Ethel Glaze, Green Spring; two brothers, Charles "Jack" Carder, Oldtown and David "Dick" Carder, Cumberland; nine grandchildren, Sheli Heberle, Jeanette, Pa., Thomas Franciosi, Oneida, Fla., Anthony Franciosi, Delmont, Tina Michael, Hedgesville, Robin Myers, Hagerstown, Md., Jamie Mason and Adam Mason, both of Berkeley Springs, James Fortini, Susanville, Calif. and Nathan Fortini, Simpsonville; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orbra Leroy Lineweaver on January 3, 1994; three sisters, Rosetta Carder, Genevieve Saville and Clarabelle Parker; and three brothers, Frank Carder, John Carder and Paul Carder.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, April 4 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 165 Pious Ridge Road, Berkeley Springs, with Pastor Frankie Revell officiating. Interment will be in Greenway Cemetery.
The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
