Hazel I. Bratton
Hazel I. Bratton, 98, of Berkeley Springs, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at Berkeley Springs Rehabilitation & Nursing while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born October 3, 1908 in Fairhope, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Herman and Mae Coughenour Mowry.
She was a member of Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church.
She was a graduate of Bedford High School, Bedford, Pa. and Beckley Business College. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, C. Richard "Dick" Bratton, Berkeley Springs; two daughters, Joan B. Bird, Newport, R.I. and Elizabeth A. Boyce, Powell, Wyo.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married in 1935, Charles H. Bratton on February 9, 1980.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28 at Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church, 97 S. Mercer St. with the Rev. Dr. Robert S. Osborne officiating. Private interment will be in Greenway Cemetery.
