Ruth E. McIntire

1916-2007

Ruth Elizabeth Michael McIntire, 90, Winchester, Va., died March 24, 2007 at an area nursing home.

She was born December 24, 1916 in Morgan County, daughter of the late David Madison Michael and Emma Snow Bishop Michael.

She retired from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

She is a member of the Fairview and Mt. Olive United Methodist Church and attended the Guiding Light Gospel Center. She was a member of the Winchester Women of the Moose Chapter 1367.

She is survived by three sons, Sylvester McIntire, Winchester, Va., Donald McIntire and Robert McIntire, both of Frederick County, Va.; one daughter, Bonnadean McIntire Carter, Clarke County, Va.; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Lester McIntire; three sisters, Carrie Wilson, Hazel Spruce and Nettie Hovermale and three brothers, Harold Michael, William Michael and Jerry Michael.

Services are at Greenwood United Methodist Church in Unger today, Wednesday, March 28 with Rev. Anthony A. Wadsworth, presiding. Interment at Greenwood United Methodist Church Cemetery.
