Frank W. Ruppert, Jr.

1923-2007

Frank William Ruppert, Jr, 83, formerly of Baltimore, Md, also of Leesburg, Fla, for 17 years and most recently of Hancock, Md., died Saturday, March 17 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md.

Born October 22, 1923 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Frank William Ruppert, Sr. and Elizabeth Bremker Ruppert and the husband of Janet Julia Vanscoy Ruppert who died June 24, 2006.

He graduated from Dormont High School and the University of Baltimore.

He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Combat Engineers.

He was a Time Study Engineer retired from Kopper's Company in Baltimore.

He had been a member of the Church of Ascension Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, Baltimore.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #145 in Baltimore, and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #60 Berkeley Springs.

He is survived by two sons, Frank William Ruppert, III, of Hancock and Stephen Paul Ruppert of Laceyville, Pa.; one daughter, Linda Susan Ruppert, Berkeley Springs, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and one cousin.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Penelope Davis.

A service will be held Thursday, March 22 at 1 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. Rev. James R. Stauffer will officiate.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Thursday, March 22, 12-1 p.m.
