War Memorial recognizes staff
The Extended Care Facility staff at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital has been chosen for the hospital's semi-annual Teamwork Award.
Members of the Extended Care Facility (ECF) staff were nominated for their time and efforts in decorating the hospital conference room for the employee Christmas dinner. "The Pines Toy Store Elves" Team turned the hospital conference room into an old-fashioned toy store complete with nostalgic books, games, dolls, teddy bears, cars and trucks, candy counter display model train display, Christmas trees, and Santa Claus. ECF staff members selected the theme "The Pines Toy Store" in recognition of when the hospital was "The Pines Crippled Children's Hospital" in the 1930s, and used their own personal toys and decorations to create the toy store atmosphere.
The Teamwork Award acknowledges employees, who by working together, accomplish achievements that are above and beyond normal performance expectations. "The Pines Toy Store Elves" Team includes Dawn Abramow, Shawna Athey, Jenny Baker, Patty Brooks, Shelby Courtney, Deb Fox, Debi Howerton, Rebecca Lockhart, Phyllis Manimbo, Tanya Manley, Brenda Miller, Nelva Petenbrink, Jane Roche, Bernice Stotler, Darlene Stotler, Hope Stotler and Donna Williams.
Each member of the team received a certificate, pin, and a pencil holder or candy jar. The team was also presented with a desktop teamwork sculpture to display on the unit.
