Recent sentences by Magistrate Greg Miller:
Philip Charles McAnulty, Jr., 24, of Laurel Hill Avenue, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to pay $336 fine & court costs for driving while his license was suspended, 3rd offense.
Dustin Joel Rice, 19, of Dense Oak Lane, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to pay $186 costs for domestic battery.
Richard Lee Thompson, 50, of Clone Run Road, Hedgesville, was given a suspended sentence of six months in jail and placed on a year's probation for domestic battery. He must also pay $164 costs.
Ruffner Franklin Cobb II, 35, of Berkeley Springs was sentenced to 60 days in jail – 48 of which were suspended – for destruction of property. He must also work 12 days of community service and pay $184 fine & costs.
Eric D. Hogbin, 35, of Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to two days in jail and ordered to pay $578 fine & costs for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages, with a minor in the vehicle.
Hoyt Cranford of Firefly Lane, Hedgesville, was ordered to pay $911 fine & costs for operating an illegal salvage yard.
Leah Dawn Decker, 18, of Paw Paw was ordered to pay $571 fine & costs for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages (under age 21) and having no proof of insurance.
Cynthia Maria Day, 46, of Berkeley Springs turned herself in to Washington County authorities after a fugitive-from-justice warrant was issued for her in Morgan County.
