Richard R. Rankin
Richard Ramsay Rankin, 67, of Odenton, Md., died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at his home under the care of Hospice.
He was born in 1939 in Berkeley Springs.
He is survived by his wife Therese Rankin; one daughter Kimberly George and six step-children, Vincent Burke, Raymond Burke, Kelly Burke, Daniel Burke, Ruth Burke and Denise Merkle; four brothers Joe Rankin, Charleston, S.C., Fred Rankin, Gainesville, Va., Elwood Rankin, St. Louis, Mo. and John Rankin, Berkeley Springs; two sisters Tempey Lansing, Berkeley Springs and Mary Ann Colhoun, Sun City Center, Fla. and numberous grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Clara E. Rankin, three brothers James, Russell, Jr., William F., Harold Rankin and one sister Jessie Lee Bair.
He was a member of the Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War.
He retired as service manager of Adams Automotive of Annapolis, Md.
