Bath Police get tough on tickets

The Bath Town Police has identified $20,000 in unpaid overdue parking tickets, following a review of records.

Police Chief Jim Minton requested that if people think they have any unpaid tickets, they should call Barbara Cirigliano at 304-258-1198 between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Be ready to supply the tag number.

The Police Department plans to collect overdue tickets by January 31. If a person owes multiple tickets, a payment plan may be negotiated. Effective February 1, tickets must be paid without negotiation.

Beginning February 20, vehicles identified as parking violators with overdue unpaid tickets will be booted. The owner will then have to pay the full amount of overdue tickets plus a $50 charge to have the boot removed.
