Teen event targeted tobacco use

The Berkeley Springs High School RAZE crew sponsored a RAZE Splash Day at the Berkeley Springs State Park Pool on Thursday, July 24. Over 130 children and adults were admitted to the pool at no charge. Raze literally means to tear down. RAZE is a statewide youth movement in West Virginia whose purpose is to tear down marketing schemes that get teens hooked on cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. The goal of RAZE is to reduce tobacco use among teens. Any West Virginia teen can join RAZE. Since its inception in 2001, nearly 10,000 teens have helped fight Big Tobacco.
