Willowdean E. Teets
1927-2007
Willowdean Deannie Evans Teets, 80, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.
Born April 10, 1927 in Crellin, Md., she was the daughter of the late Oner Ray and Minnie Elizabeth Ellis Evans.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.
She was a 1945 graduate of Oakland High School, Oakland, Md. and earned a bachelor's degree from St. Marys College, St. Marys City, Md.
She retired from Guest Quarters Hotels in Alexandria, Va. where she worked as a bookkeeper.
She had been a homemaker in recent years. She was a member of Ye Towne of Bath Chapter of the DAR and was a Red Cross volunteer.
She is survived by one daughter, Robin Teets Dawson, Woodbridge, Va.; one son, Jeffrey Mark Teets, Linden, Va.; four sisters, Elloween Johnson and Delores E. Hayden, both of Moun-
tain Lake Park, Md., Mona
Lou Coberly of Florida and Sandra Sue Bacon, Houston, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Thomas Teets on March 15, 1991; one son, Michael Teets; one sister, Patricia Ann Evans and two brothers, John Ray Evans, Jr. and Buddy Evans.
Memorial services were conducted Friday, January 4 at First United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs with Pastor Andrew Cooney officiating. Interment private.
Arrangements were handled by the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs.
