Bernice J. Bartosiewicz

Bernice Joan Bartosiewicz, 87, of Lewisburg, formerly of Levittown, Pa., died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Autumn Acres Personal Care Center in Berkeley Springs.

Born January 17, 1920 in Mt. Carmel, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Yarosz Stec.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Berkeley Springs. She was a 1938 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School and had worked as a seamstress/zipper setter in the garment industry. She had been a homemaker in recent years.

She is survived by one son, Peter C. Bartosiewicz, Lewisburg; one sister, Helen Evanoff, Berkeley Springs; two grandchildren, Mark Bartosiewicz, Daytona Beach, Fla. and Lisa Bartosiewicz, San Diego, Calif. and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Bartosiewicz, one sister, Anna Hosgood and one brother, Joseph Stec.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, December 28, at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, with the Rev. Joseph C. Mercieca, TOR officiating. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Township, Pa.
