Good for jobs
Dear Editor:
The letter last week by Tamme Marggraf expressed my feelings completely.
Every time some issue concerning the growth in Morgan County comes up, either in discussion or planning, there is opposition from the same citizens that believe their expertise is the only solution to the topic at hand and no one opposing their statements should be given any creditability when they have something to offer.
Aren’t we all somewhat two-faced when the Freeman Group sponsors one of our art events or gives a helping hand to one of the several organizations that go to them for assistance?
One of the comments made in a letter to the editor in the past few months was a call for small business owners to get on the stick and produce jobs. How many jobs would be created for the people in this county, if the Freeman project could get started? How much revenue would be added to this county? Let’s face it, businesses are not locating here as compared to Berkeley County and the I-81 corridor.
I feel that this development would be good for the county and its citizens and provide needed jobs.
