Walter L. Morris

Walter Lewis Morris, 56, of Hancock died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, Md.

Born May 6, 1956 in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of Julia Morris Gallion of Hancock and the late Ernest Morris.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #26 of Hancock.

Besides his mother he is survived by five brothers, Ernest Morris,Warfordsburg, Pa., Robert Morris, Mercers-burg, Pa., Lester Morris and Christopher Morris both of Hancock, Wayne Morris, Hagerstown; one sister, Della Smith, Hancock; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey Morris, two sisters, Mary Golden and Sarah Younker.

A service will be held at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, today Wednesday, February 20, at 3 p.m., Rev. Lowell Bard will officiate. Burial will be in the Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery, near Hancock.

The family will receive friends 2-3 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
