Calvin C. Fox
Calvin Curtis “Cab” Fox, 88, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.
Born September 26, 1924 in Sleepy Creek, W.Va., he was the son of the late Clarence Russell and Louella Mae Castle Fox.
He was a member of The Refuge in Berkeley Springs.
He attended the Red Hill School in Sleepy Creek.
He retired from CECO Corporation in Bladensburg, Md. where he had worked as a carpenter.
He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local #132 in Silver Spring, Md. He was an outdoorsman.
He is survived by two sons, Dwight David Fox, Sleepy Creek and Craig Steven Fox, Berkeley Springs; two daughters, Cheryl Ann Cain, Sleepy Creek and Brenda Fox Hashem, Berkeley Springs; 14 grandchildren, Rex Garland Spangler, Winston-Salem, N.C., Max Edward Spangler, Pinnacle, N.C., Kathy Jo Lashley, Hancock, Kenneth Dwight Fox, Warfordsburg, Pa., Kevin Wayne Fox, Sleepy Creek, Steven David Cain and Christopher Ernest Cain, both of Cherry Run, Jonathan Ray Cain and Ashley Michelle Briscoe, both of Sleepy Creek, Benjamin Samuel Fox, Joshua Stephen Fox, Danielle Elizabeth Fox, Kaitlyn Grace Hashem and Natalie Frances Hashem, all of Berkeley Springs; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Frances Trail Fox on September 5, 1998; one daughter, Janet Marie Spangler; one sister, Mildred Heavener and one brother, Clarence Fox.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, February 8 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs with Pastor Kenneth Smith officiating. Interment was at Bethel Cemetery, Sleepy Creek.
