William E. Stanley, Jr.

William E. Stanley, Jr., 65, Warfordsburg, Pa., died Sun-day, January 20, 2013, at his home.

He was born October 21, 1947 in Great Cacapon, W.Va., son of the late William Sr. and Gertie Mills Stanley.

He was a truck driver for various contruction companies in the tri-state area until his retirement in 2008.

He is survived by his companion of 27 years, Mary Eve-lyn Koontz, Warfordsburg; four children (to his first wife), William E. Stanley III, Tammy M. Smith, Linda E. Butler and Peggy J. Stanley, all of Texas; eight stepchildren, Edward L. Rohm, Linda Souders and Keith Rohm, all of Warfords-burg, Doris Powers of Tennes-see, David Rohm of Texas, Kevin Rohm, Hancock, Michael Rohm, Breezewood, Pa. and Lori Clark, Warfords-burg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Larry Stanley, Chi-nook, Mont., Donald Stanley, Warfordsburg, Terry Stanley, and Robert Stanley, both of Hagerstown; four sisters, Peggy Sauerland, Lynnwood, Wash., Patsy Vance, Artemas, Pa., Jean Foreback and Linda Shoemaker, both of Berkeley Springs.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, January 23, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in McConnellsburg, Pa. Burial was private and at the convenience of the family.
