Coming together

Dear Editor:
Back in September, I wrote a letter about what Gareth Foulds described as “The Awakening.” We have a vision of a community/town that works together. Now that vision has a tangible location: 143 N. Mercer Street, Berkeley Springs. We are calling it the New Earth Granary.

The vision of the New Earth Granary is to discover and awaken the seed/gift within each of us, and provide an atmosphere where these seeds/gifts can sprout and produce in a relational-based economic environment.

Since September, our band, Johnny Robinson and the Awakening (formerly Subliminals), has shared the stage with more than 25 people to support them in developing their gifts. Sharing this dream with me, Gary McDaniel has helped to promote each event and we have played to a packed house for every concert, proving that the Awakening is what we all desire.

Now we want to take this to the next level. We have 2,600 sq. ft. of space where we can develop this dream. We want to include as many people as possible in this adventure and truly believe we will all prosper as we provide a place where people of all ages can come together to share destinies.

If you have questions or if you want to come to our first vision meeting at 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, call me at 304-268-8141.
