Sharon L. Gloyd

Sharon L. Gloyd, 68, of Eighty Four, Pa., died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Canonsburg General Hospital in Canonsburg, Pa.

Born May 23, 1944 in Fairmont, she was the daughter of the late Harlen Jesse and Geraldine Truman Rice.
She was of the Methodist faith.

She was a graduate of East Fairmont High School and had worked as a bottle inspector with Owens-Illinois Glass Works in Fairmont.

She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter #1311 in Berkeley Springs.

She liked reading and flower gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 46 1/2 years, Robert William Gloyd at home; one daughter, Michelle Lee Lilley Hovermale, Bentleyville, Pa.; two grandchildren, Cyanna Jeanae Lilley and Colten Tyler Hovermale, both of Bentleyville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two infant sisters, Carol Rice and Wilma Jean Rice and two brothers, Donald Rice and Russell Rice.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 7 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, with Pastor Dave Kidwell officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Orleans Crossroads.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
