John A. Corbett, Sr.
John Andrew Corbett, Sr., 53, of Green Spring, died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Western Maryland Health Center in Cumberland, Md.
He was born July 27, 1959, the son of the late Frances Arnica and George W. Corbett.
He was a master carpenter. He liked camping, hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Corbett, Green Spring; three sons, John Corbett, Jr., Winchester, Va., Matthew Corbett, Green Spring and Michael Athey, Berkeley Springs; one daughter, Leah Corbett, Winchester; one brother, Mitch Corbett, Paw Paw; three sisters, Denise Shepherd and Janice McConnell, both of Paw Paw and Judy Perry, Gainesboro, Va.; two stepsons, Christopher Swick of Illinois and Andy Swick, Cumberland; one grandson, Cameron Corbett, Winchester; four step-grandchildren, Eyrnn, Travis, Logan and Chandler Swick and a number of nieces and nephews.
His body was donated to the Maryland Human Gift Registry. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 2 at the Paw Paw United Methodist Church with Pastor Darlene Powers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
