Anne D. Bohrer
Anne Denise “Neecie” Bohrer, 54, formerly of Hancock and a resident of Hagerstown, Md., died Monday, January 28, 2013 at Julia Manor in Hagerstown.
Born November 14, 1958 in Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of Mary Ellen Hixon Bohrer of Hagerstown and the late Mervin E. “Jim” Bohrer, Sr. who died December 4, 1994.
She was valedictorian of her graduating Class of 1976 at Hancock High School. An AA degree, Summa-CumLaude of Hagerstown Business College.
She was retired after 32 years as a bookkeeper, employed with Fulton Petroleum, Sharrett, Inc, Fil-Tec, Inc. and MillerStone Law Offices.
She was an antique tea cup collector and a member of the Hancock United Methodist Church.
Besides her mother, she is survived by three sisters, Nancy E. Zirkle, Needmore, Pa., Mary E. Farris, Hagerstown and Kay A. Nave, Elizabethton, Tenn; one brother, Mervin E. “Jimmy” Bohrer, Jr., Norfolk, Va.; 10 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews.
A service will be held Friday, February 1 at 11 a.m. at the Hancock United Methodist Church, Rev. Michael Bynum and Rev. Wayne Hixon will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, Thursday 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday 10-11 a.m.
