February Star Parties
Morgan County Observa-tory will be having public star parties this Friday evening, February 4 and Friday, February 11 beginning at 7:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. if skies are clear.
The event will include: stargazing, refreshments, movies and hands on astronomy exhibits to entertain folks of all ages.
Winter skies showcase the planet Jupiter and its moons, the Orion nebula, the Andromeda Galaxy and companion galaxies, and the double star cluster in Perseus.
See the Morgan County Observatory and look through the powerful 16” Cassegrain telescope housed there. Admission is free to all and donations are encouraged.
To get to the Observatory from Berkeley Springs, follow Rt. 522 South two miles and take a left on Winchester Grade Rd. (Rt. 13), then travel 9.5 miles just past Greenwood School on the left. For information call 304-258-1013.
