Five sentenced by circuit judges

Several people were sentenced by Judges Michael Lorensen and Andrew Frye in Morgan County Circuit Court in recent weeks.

Judge Frye sentences
Gregory Bryan, 23, of Martinsburg Road, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to 1-to-10 years in prison after pleading guilty to destruction of property. Bryan was charged with going on a spree of destruction, damaging buildings and cars in May 2012 with a juvenile accomplice.

Roger L. Harvey, 52, of Winchester Grade Road, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to one year and a day in prison for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages and driving on a revoked license.

Richard J. Cox, 26, of Miranda Lane, Hedgesville, was put on five years of supervised probation for third degree sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl in 2011. He must also register as a sex offender for life.

Judge Lorensen sentences
Judge Michael Lorensen revoked two probations and sentenced three people to prison in recent weeks.
Joseph Caldwell, 45, of Berkeley Springs, had probation revoked and was sentenced to 1-to-15 years in prison. Caldwell pled guilty to one count of delivery of crack cocaine in 2009.

Brandon Kidwell, 21, of Berkeley Springs had probation revoked and was sent to jail for 18 months. Kidwell had been on probation after pleading no contest to harassment, aggravated DUI, driving with no insurance, possessing marijuana and fleeing from a crime on foot in 2011.
