Area bridge clubs support MCIEC

Various bridge clubs in Berkeley Springs raised a combined $1,200 in December for MCIEC (Morgan County Interfaith Emergency Care). In addition to donating all game fees for the month, players brought in many cans of food. Several players made extra cash contributions as well.

Donations came from the Survivor’s Club which plays on Monday night, Ole Dogs who play on Tuesday and the Friday morning duplicate bridge club. Jim Arbogast, who led the effort, said “A normal game generally only draws between $30 and $60 in game fees, so this was a rather extraordinary fundraising effort.”

In addition, the Sharp Minds Bridge Club donates its game fees to MCIEC every other week throughout the year.
