Nellie R. Fox

Nellie R. Fox, 91, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Berkeley Springs Rehab and Nursing, Berkeley Springs.

Born April 1, 1921 in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Della Grace Bohrer Poffenberger.

She was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church. She attended public schools in Morgan County. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen Eugene McBee, Martinsburg and Danny L. McBee, Hedgesville; four daughters, Evelyne L. Kave Baker, Hagerstown, Md., Judi A. Shriver and Kim L. Kerns, both of Hedgesville and Peggy Jo Waugh, York, Pa.; two sisters, LouElla Johnston and Larrie Jean Weller, both of Berkeley Springs; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glendon E. Fox, who died in 1994; one sister, Louise Stotler and one brother, Kenneth Ray Poffenberger.

Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Steve Dawson at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 18, at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 95 Union St., Berkeley Springs. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 17 at the funeral home.
