Find or fine?

Dear Editor:
In response to the mayor’s explanation of the Parking Study:

The point of the study was to “find parking in Berkeley Springs,” not to “fine parking in Berkeley Springs.”
As for Amanda Michael’s letter, I support any creative ideas, but that one I can’t. I can’t afford to “adopt-a-meter” and I will not pay one more dollar to the Town of Bath for services unrendered. I am taxed for street repairs that don’t happen. That’s enough.

The meters need to go. The downtown businesses need any and all help to promote business. The meters don’t help.

Eliminating Saturday fines is a start, but the message it sends to locals is “tourist business is more important than your business.”

Not true. Locals are the cake, the tourists are the icing. I implore the Chamber of Commerce and Travel Berkeley Springs to support removal of downtown meters on behalf of local businesses.
