Eric Smith

Eric “Shane” Smith, 41, of Paw Paw, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at his home.

He was born January 16, 1971 at Cumberland, Md., son of Ronald E. Smith and Karen Brown Smith of Paw Paw.

A 1989 graduate of Paw Paw High School, he was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm.

He had worked for Fleetwood Trailers in Winchester, was an artist and attended the Paw Paw Church of Christ.

Surviving in addition to his parents are one daughter, Erica Smith, Paw Paw and one sister, Dawn Weese, Paw Paw.

The family will receive friends at the Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw, on Wednesday, January 9 from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kimble Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Camp Hill Cemetery at Paw Paw with military graveside services conducted by members of Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard of Cumberland, Md.
