Enough is enough

Dear Editor:
Am I the only one disgusted with the fact that the Christmas “shopping rush” started Thanksgiving eve?

For at least one day a year, can’t we set aside an entire day to appreciate our numerous blessings and to relax with loved ones?

For some, each Thanksgiving sees more empty chairs at the table.

Too bad materialism has over taken the true meaning of Christmas. At least leave Thanksgiving alone.
