Ava Maxine Fearnow Gobeil, 96, of Pleasant Grove, Ala., died October 20, 2012.
She was born December 25, 1915 in Morgan County, daughter of the late John Tyler and Bettie Spielman Fearnow.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Henry G. Gobeil; one son, Henry Gobeil, Jr.; three brothers, George Fearnow, Henry W. Fearnow and John T. Fearnow and one sister, Ellen DeHaven.
She is survived by one daughter, Georgette Welch, with whom she made her home.
She was a homemaker. She liked working in her vegetable and flower rock gardens.
Services were conducted by Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 24 with burial in the Jefferson Memorial Garden South.
