Richard T. Fischer
Richard Theodore “Shrew” Fischer, 59, of Great Cacapon, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg.
Born February 9, 1953 at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late Clyde Theodore and Anita Louise Twigg Fischer.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and had worked as a carpenter with Don Hoover Construction in Great Cacapon.
He liked the Dallas Cowboys, Nascar and collected eagles.
He is survived by two daughters, Jolene Fischer and Chelsea Fischer and one son, Logan Fischer, all of Great Cacapon; five sisters, Vicky Lynn Blakely, Austin, Texas, Kathy Ann Fowler, Great Cacapon, Brenda Leigh Cast, Apple Valley, Calif., Anita Carol Kesner and Tina Louise Stotler, both of Berkeley Springs; three brothers, Steven Wayne Fischer, Great Cacapon, Jeff Keith Fischer, Reno, Nev. and Roger Dean Fischer of New York and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Eugene Fischer.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 27 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Great Cacapon, with Pastor Steve Dawson officiating. Private interment was in Great Cacapon Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs.
