Elizabeth C. Mayberry

Elizabeth Catherine Mayberry, 78, of Berkeley Springs, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at her home.

Born March 23, 1934 in Terre Haute, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth Catherine Drum Dillon.

She was a member of Berkeley Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She was a graduate of Gonzaga High School in Washington, D.C. and attended the University of Maryland at College Park, Md. She had been a day care provider and was a homemaker in recent years. She liked gardening and was active in various horticultural organizations in Berkeley Springs.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years, James Edward Mayberry, at home; two sons, Steven Thomas Mayberry, Berkeley Springs and James Edward Mayberry, Harpers Ferry; one daughter, Catherine Ann Mayberry, Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Dillon.

All services and interment will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs.
