Mid East Studies at county schools

As part of the Adopt-a-School and Arts Integration programs, the Morgan Arts Council is bringing TarabRaqs Middle Eastern Music & Dance Ensemble to Warm Springs Middle School, Berkeley Springs High School and Paw Paw Schools this semester.

The family group from Berkeley Springs will be presenting one-hour multi-media interactive performances of music, dance and culture at Warm Springs Middle and Paw Paw schools.

As a result of last spring's successful arts integration program at BSHS, TarabRaqs will be returning for another eight-class workshop in Mid East dance and music.

TarabRaqs was nationally recognized earlier this year by the American Arab Anti Discrimination Committee for its unique approach to teaching kids about the Middle East.

Funded by the West Virginia Commission on the Arts and Morgan County schools.
