Lucy F. Werdebaugh

Lucy Frances Werdebaugh, 82, of Hancock, died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at her home.

Born October 15, 1929 in Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley Fritzman, Sr. and Anna Pearl Henry Fritzman, and widow of Herbert Edgar Werdebaugh who died December 15, 1996.

She was employed at the former National Restaurant in Hancock for 35 years as a cook and was of protestant faith.

She is survived by one daughter, Darlene K. Mellott, Hancock and one son, Ronnie W. Werdebaugh, Sr., Warfordsburg, Pa.; three grandchildren, Ricky D. Mellott, Jr. Ronnie W. Werdebaugh, Jr. and Leslie D. Caldwell; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dortha Widmyer and Viola Fritzman and two brothers, Walter Fritzman and William McKinley Fritzman, Jr.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, burial at Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.
