Recent sentences from Magistrate Kermit Ambrose:
The felony, third-offense DUI case against Robert William Black, Jr., 61, of Painted Meadow Lane, Berkeley Springs, was sent on to Morgan County Circuit Court.

Jason Long, 19, of Stoner Avenue, Westminster, Md. was bound over to Morgan County Circuit Court on a fugitive from justice warrant.

Cyrus Jeremiah Meade, 21, of Waterstone Lane, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to four months of home confinement and ordered to pay $191 court fees for domestic battery.

Matthew Allen Flowers, 31, of Arepad Lane, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to six months in jail – all but two days of which was suspended – for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages. He was placed on two years probation, and must also pay $511 in fines & fees for the DUI and not using a seatbelt.

Liberty Arlene McDonald, 36, of New Hope Road, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to 90 days in jail – all but 10 of which were suspended — for possession of a controlled substance. She must also pay $166 fees.

Jason W. Hill, 38, of Gollar Hill Lane, Berkeley Springs, was given a suspended sentence of six months in jail and placed on a year’s probation for domestic battery. He must also attend a counseling program and pay $166 fees.

Peggy Sue Emerson, 45, of Berkeley Springs was given a suspended sentence of 30 days in jail and ordered to pay $358 restitution & fees for petit larceny.

Cynthia Palmer of Mawani Terrace, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to five days in jail for failure to send a child to school (second offense).

Harry Albert Fountain III, 48, address unknown, was given a suspended sentence of five days in jail and placed on a year’s probation for petit larceny. He must also pay $250 restitution and fees.

Codi Rose Jackson, 24, of South Washington Street, Berkeley Springs, was placed on six months probation and ordered to pay $191 fees for possession of a controlled substance.

Nicholas Tyler Khuri, 23, of Arlington Street, Johnstown, Pa. was placed on six months probation and ordered to pay $191 fees for possession of a controlled substance.

Trey Alan Marsh, 22, of Camfield Street, Pittsburgh, Pa. was placed on six months probation and ordered to pay $191 fees for possession of a controlled substance.

Amy Lynn Shafran, 32, of Claton Ridge Drive, Winchester, was ordered to pay $486 fine & fees for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

Wesley D. McCoy, 42, of Berkeley Springs was ordered to pay $291 fine & fees for battery.

Raegan Keith Thompson, 37, of Berkeley Springs was ordered to pay $291 fine & fees for public intoxication.

Adrian G. Vanleen, 88, of Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to pay $166 court fees for failing to register as a sex offender.

Frederick Richard Byrod, 57, of Woodland Drive, Great Cacapon, was given a suspended sentence of 90 days in jail and placed on a year’s probation for destruction of property. He must also pay $2,966 restitution & fees.

Cynthia Kay McCoy, 58, of Apple Orchard Circle, Berkeley Springs, was given a suspended sentence of 10 days in jail and placed on a year’s probation for petit larceny. She must work 240 hours of community service and pay $166 fees.

Allen Ray Swisher, 33, of Chester Lane, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to a day in jail and ordered to pay $382 fine & fees for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
