OaklandRoad to be closed

The West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) announces that Oakland Road (Morgan County Route 28) will be closed to through traffic, beginning October 8.

The closure, located approximately half a mile east of the intersection with U.S. 522, will be in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is necessary for the WVDOH District Five Bridge Crew to construct a bridge over Indian River.

Motorists are advised to use Allemong Road (Morgan County Route 38/9) and Creek Road (Morgan County Route 28/1) as a detour. Work is anticipated to last several months.
