Diabetes Support Group meets

The Morgan County Diabetes Education and Support Group will meet Thursday, October 4, 6:30 p.m. in Education Room B at War Memorial Hospital, off of Fairview Drive in Berkeley Springs.

“Heart Disease, Stroke & Diabetes” will be presented by Dr. Benny Bhaskar, an internal medicine physician with Community Physicians of War Memorial Hospital.

Bhaskar will review and discuss some facts about diabetes, how diabetes affects organs, how food choices and activity affect diabetes and how diabtic patients can reduce their risk of heart disease and stroke.

The program is free and open to the public. Diabetic patients, their family members and caregivers are encouraged to attend.
