Viola M. Michael

Viola Mae Michael, 95, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.

Born July 30, 1917 in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the Charles Walter Michael and Ottie Shade Michael.

She worked at Porterfield Orchard and Perfection Garment Factory in her younger years.

She was a member of Rosemont Grace Brethren Church and Golden Heirs.

She is survived by four children, Mary Louise Blair, Lewis Bernard Michael, Jr., Jerry Walter Michael and Gary Daniel Michael; 13 grandchildren, Robin Kees, Angela Elliott, Regina Ronk, Sandra Yamamoto, Beverly Simonds, Lewis Michael III, David Michael, Patrick Michael, Shannon Wright, Timothy Michael, Keith Michael, Kristen Jagodowski and Camden Beckmann; 26 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Ed Michael, Berkeley Springs and four sisters, Emily Miner, Hagerstown, Md., Helen Robertson, Blanche McCarty and Carrie Michael, all of Berkeley Springs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis B. Michael; step-great-grandchild and two sisters, Hattie Didawick and Nannie Michael.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 8 at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Interment was at Rosedale Cemetery.
