Ruth Y. Wilson

Ruth Y. Wilson, 76, of Hedgesville, died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Care Haven Nursing Home, Martinsburg.

Born September 12, 1935 in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late Friendie R. Youngblood and Ruth A. Dawson Youngblood.

She was a member of Snyder’s Bible Chapel, graduate of Berkeley Springs High School, and retired from Perfection Garment Company.

She was an avid gardener, liked crafts, sewing and music.

She is survived by four children, Barbara Smith and Doug Youngblood, both of Martinsburg, Scott Wilson, Falls Church, Va. and Brenda Maxson, Alexandria, Va.; eight grandchildren, Steven Cain, Dillon Smith, Megan and Paige Youngblood and Shannon, Lindsay, Randy and Alexa Wilson; one brother, Friendie Richard Youngblood and one sister, Betty Payne, both of Hedgesville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, September 5, at Snyder’s Bible Chapel with Rev. Donald Dick and Rev. Gary Kerns officiating. Interment will be in Snyder’s Chapel Cemetery.

Friends were received at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg on Tuesday, September 4.
