Traffic stop escalates into a hot Friday night scene

Donna Lynn Walter, 35, of Independence Street, Berkeley Springs, was arrested Friday night, April 13, by town police for disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer.

Police said the incident occurred shortly after Town of Bath Corporal Craig Pearrell and Morgan County Deputy Sheriff Seth Place responded to a 911 call about an attempted break-in at Mike's Garage on North Mercer Street.

Roger Franklin Griffith III, 18, of Sir Johns Run Road, Berkeley Springs, was ordered to pay $50 fine & court costs and placed on six months probation for possession of a small quantity of marijuana.

Man gets 10 to 20 for sexually abusing girl

Several people were sentenced recently in Morgan County Circuit Court, including a Martinsburg man who was sent to prison for sexually abusing a young girl.

In addition, Payne was indicted for transferring stolen property in a separate incident earlier in November, and for possession of marijuana in December.

Thilo Mervin Davis, Sr., 47, of Lafayette Avenue, Manassas Springs, Va. was given a suspended sentence of 90 days in jail and placed on a year's probation for domestic battery. He must also pay $186 court costs and attend counseling.
