County extension agent Bob Knight is retiring



Morgan County West Virginia University extension agent Bob Knight is retiring from service. His last official day is tomorrow. Knight began his position as the county extension agent in September, 2003.

Deadline set for open county board positions



Applications for current openings on the Morgan County Fire Board and the Morgan County Economic Development Authority will be accepted until November 16. The county hopes to fill the volunteer board positions as soon as possible, said administrative assistant Bette Kidwell.

Family loses all in mobile home fire

The Morgan County Commission is now reviewing two county courthouse funding proposals that were received last week from the West Virginia Development Office.

Homeland security money awarded for new radios



Morgan County has been awarded a total of $461,926 for new radios from two grants from the Fiscal Year 2006 Homeland Security Grant Program.
