The board of the Warm Springs Sewer System has delayed implementation of their new policy to bill owners of vacant houses, businesses or other structures on a monthly basis.

The Morgan County Planning Commission gave Robert Summers until the next meeting on July 24 to complete the cleanup of unlicensed vehicles on his property located in the southern part of the county.

Mayor Susan Webster told the Bath Town Council at their June 19 meeting that she attended the Mountain State Cruisers car show in Berkeley Springs State Park on Father’s Day.

The policy applies to all structures connected to the sewer system regardless of occupancy.

Ten years after the drought

The West Virginia Public Service Commission has granted a 0.39% rate increase and a temporary surcharge of 3.45% to the Warm Springs Public Service District.

Town Clerk Debra Peck said the company told her the police and street crews were too high a risk.

The theft is being investigated by West Virginia State Police who believe the thieves gained access because keys were left in the vehicle.
