Ivan V. Smith, Sr.
He was born March 2, 1929 in Romney, he was the son of the late Marshall Smith and Velma Alkire Smith.
He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a school bus driver in Oldtown, Md. and worked in construction.
He was a member of Woodrow Union Christian Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Grady, Fayetteville, N.C. and Wanda Whisner, Wardensville; two sons, Ivan Smith, Jr. and Carroll Smith, both of Paw Paw; nine grandchildren, Barbara Lang, Richard Smith, Jamie Eaton, Trudy Hayes, Casey Abrell, Robbie Grady, Ernie Grady, Christopher Grady and Brandon Grady; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret A. Light Smith on March 11, 1993 whom he married June 28, 1952 and one daughter, Betty Davis.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, February 14 at Kimble Funeral Home. Pastor Nathan Travis officiated. Interment was in Camp Hill Cemetery, Paw Paw.
