Eight sentenced, one pleads in Circuit Court

A number of individuals faced court justice by Circuit Court Judge Michael Lorenson in recent weeks.

John Perry, Jr., 30, of New Hope Road, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to five to 25 years in jail, followed by 30 years of supervised release for sexual abuse, and registration as a sex offender. Supervised release means that if he is found near a school, he can be sent back to prison.

Perry received the sentence for sexually abusing a 3-yearold child in his care in August 2012.

Kelly J. King, 43, of Waynesboro, Pa., was sentenced to two years in jail for counts of brandishing a weapon and destruction of property. Jail time was suspended for two years supervised probation and 100 hours of community service.

King broke into the house of her intimate partner in August 2012, and attacked the person and another in the house with a knife. King must pay restitutions of $1,500 for the destruction of property.

Ricky Kyne, 44, of Cacapon Bed and Breakfast, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to one to five years in jail for delivery of a controlled substance, Suboxone and Amphetamine. Jail time was suspended for five years probation and mandatory drug treatment.

Patricia Ann Johnson, 41, of Chambersburg, Pa., was sentenced to one year in jail for grand larceny. Jail time was suspended for two years unsupervised probation.

Johnson was caught stealing copper wire on the property of CSX railroad company, and is banned from any CSX property in the future.

Carrie B. Lowe, 30, no address on file, was sentenced to one to 15 years in jail for delivery of a controlled substance, Oxymorphone, and one to five years for failure to appear in court. Jail time from the delivery charge was suspended for three years probation.

Randy Miller, 31, of Hunter’s Camp Road, Great Cacapon, was sentenced to 30 days in jail followed by five years of probation for assault.

Miller saw victim Andrew Fowler on his property and drug him out of his vehicle. He repeatedly hit, kicked, and struck the victim with a baseball bat, breaking his jaw.

Lorraine Cushall, 54, of Timber Ridge Road, Berkeley Springs, was sentenced to one to three years in jail for delivery of a controlled substance, Clonezapam, Alprazolam and Hydrocodone. Jail was suspended for three years probation.

Donald L. Lemaster, 52, of Berkeley Springs Motel, was sentenced to one to 15 years in jail for delivery of a controlled substance, Oxycodone.

Robert Leon Kelley, III, 25, of Norris Avenue, Berkeley Springs, plead guilty to fraud with an access device, in this case a prepaid Visa card he found on the street.

Kelley used the card at various retail stores before being tracked down. Sentencing will take place July 22.
