The program covered only the state parks; there was not enough time to cover the flora and fauna, the state forests, the fairs, festivals, the commemorative historical and beauty sites or the people that make up the wonders of the state.

This program, a followup to April’s program given by Liz Phillips and Sandy Drake on “West Virginia Statehood,” was to commemorate West Virginia’s 150th birthday this year.

Morningside’s June meeting will be held in conjunction with Morgan County’s other three CEOS Clubs, Enon, Hemlock and Town and Country, on June 21 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church on Green Street, when a pot luck luncheon will be held to welcome visiting West Virginia University’s International Student from Vietnam, Le Huyen Thao Uyen.

Visitors are welcome.
